Terra-Cotta Impruneta's Oval fruits garland planter
This collection is made exclusively with Impruneta clay called Terra Turchina or Blue Earth. Impruneta, a small village on the Chianti hills of Tuscany in Italy, is the capital of Italian Terracotta pots. The pottery from Impruneta is frost-proof at -22 degrees F. Before the firing process at vetrification level (over 1832F.) the amalgam, very rich in carbonate calcium, iron oxyde, copper and silicates of aluminium is pressed by hand into a mould which design have been used for centuries. The artisan tradition of Terra Cotta supplier was established circa 1700. Since that time they have been producing flower pots that were designed by Cosmo di Medici's private landscaper, an artist and gardener by the name of Buontalenti. The Cotto Imprunetino collection offers a long time duration and a resistance to external agents such as sunlight, frost, salt dissolved in waters, acids, etc.
Available in two sizes: 22"L x 11"W x 9"H (36 lbs) or 26"L x 14"W x 10"H (51 lbs).
